SuperWEB is the browser interface to Space-Time
Research's acclaimed online micro-analytical processing technology.
The interface has characteristics that make SuperSTAR's content
delivery and reporting solutions internationally successful, has
extraordinary performance, elegance and ease of use. It brings
common statistical analysis knowledge and data interrogation capabilities
to a broader spectrum of users.
The interface presents table fields / dimensions in a tree structure irrespective of the number of dimensions or fields within a data set. Fields are simply selected and added to a table. The list of fields is always displayed and users can quickly create custom tables from them.
With a drag and drop function, users select fields and add them to a table, row, column or layer (dimension). Fields can easily be recoded (banded). Filters can also be applied such as males only or a specific date or area.
Working behind SuperWEB is a SuperSTAR tabulation module and a database engine - SuperSERVER. This engine can work off microdata (transactions) as well as aggregated data and provides astonishing performance.
Six views of your data
SuperWEB statistical analysis offers six views
of data. Each view can be easily activated by clicking on a tab.
- TableVIEW is where a table is created, calculations added, fields grouped and data presented.
- ChartVIEW allows data to be transformed instantly into a variety of standard chart types.
- ColourVIEW is used to highlight apparent relationships between variables in the table and identify cell values in defined ranges. ColourVIEW does this by painting each cell depending on the basis of relationship ratios or table values.
- MapVIEW provides integrated thematic mapping using ESRI's powerful ArcIMS web map server
- RecordVIEW enables the underlying records making up a cell count to be viewed and then exported. This is useful for targeting and data checking purposes as well as accessing more information about the records.
- ExcelVIEW: if Excel is installed on the user computer then the Excel tab appears. By clicking on the ExcelVIEW tab that data is loaded into the familiar Microsoft Excel environment.
SuperWEB does not require any browser plug ins
or applets. It is straight dhtml which ensures all users have
trouble free access to SuperWEB's statisical analysis capabilities.
No cookies are used in SuperWEB.
Tables can be saved as Excel files and images such as maps and charts are saved as jpeg files. If users have Space Time accounts they can save their tables on Space Time’s server for later use.
SuperWEB is fully multi-lingual. Both the interface and underlying metadata can to be accessed in different languages. More descriptive metadata can be accessed from other repositories.
SuperWEB's unique interface can be custom built
from component pieces. This allows organisations to tailor the
interface to suit various user audiences. SuperWEB can provide
direct access to sensitive data over Intranets and Extranets and
to public data over the Internet allowing superior statistical
analysis.
